France – Specialist optical instruments – Réalisation de Bras Télescopiques pour les Diagnostics Plasmas du Laser Mégajoule (LMJ)

COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES - DIRECTION DES APPLICATIONS MILITAIRES - SAPIFrancePublished on Jun 24, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The contract is for the study and production of Telescopic Arms (TA) for Plasma Diagnostics (PD) inserted into the LMJ's experimental chamber, based on a pre-study (at the APS stage) transmitted by the CEA. This arm consists of:

- A fixed part interfacing with an optical analyser (outside the contract);

- A deployable part including internal collimation elements, a "theta-phi" plate fixed to the moving part and interfacing with an element performing an optical function called the "optical block" (outside the contract);

- A set of optical and wired connections necessary for the intrinsic operation of the arm but also for the overall operation of the Plasma Diagnostic.

The equipment subject to the contract is a sub-assembly of the PD inserted into the Laser Mégajoule's experimental chamber. It must comply with the allocated envelope volume as well as significant stability and repeatability constraints for deployment. Its operation must be ensured under the experimental conditions to which it will be subjected (vacuum, EMC, nuclear constraint).

The contract scope is as follows:

- Study and production of the telescopic arm sub-assemblies, as well as associated cabling and connectivity, with a limit of five units.

- Associated documentary delivery.
