Czechia – Construction work – Rekonstrukce objektu PDA č.p. 323 a 584, Žatec – Kulturní a kreativní centrum Žatec a Bytový dům

The subject of the public contract is construction work, consisting of structural alterations associated with a change in the use of buildings No. 323 and No. 584 in Žatec. This concerns the building of the former Garrison House of the Army (PDA). Both houses today form a relatively complex structure, consisting of two main objects, connected by a courtyard wing, standing on the footprint of the letter "U" – part of the buildings is also an unsightly cinema extension in the courtyard, which will be demolished. The plot lies on the outskirts of Žatec in the city's heritage zone. Although both plot numbers are combined into one unit, this is a set of buildings consisting of a total of three objects in the project documentation called building "A" (forms the street line with Masarykova Street), building "B" (forms the street line with Úzká Street) and building C (connects building "A" and "B" on the western side of the complex). The building is divided into two parts: 1) part A+C represents the Cultural and Creative Centre Žatec 2) part B represents the Residential Building. From the perspective of heritage care, in the case of all three objects, their historically valuable structures (roofs, perimeter masonry, gallery, load-bearing walls, some beams) and historical details (especially window and door infills, the system of accessing residential units through galleries will be preserved, the wrought-iron balustrade of the galleries will be restored or for example the entrance four-winged grille from Masarykova Street will be rehabilitated and preserved) are to be preserved. Given the developments that the buildings underwent in the second half of the 20th century, it is necessary to carry out the rehabilitation of their appearance, which is also addressed by this public contract. The subject of the public contract is not divided into separate parts in the sense of the provisions of Section 35 of the Act.
