Germany – Architectural services for buildings – 2254_WB_Paul-Meyle-Schule_Heilbronn_Bewerbungsphase

Stadt HeilbronnGermanyPublished on Jun 01, 2026
No deadline given

Description

Already in the feasibility study and location analysis for the further development of the Paul Meyle School (DS 328/2025), a significant additional space requirement was identified based on the projected school development. Based on the number of students from previous years, an increase to around 435 students is expected by the 2034/2035 school year. The resulting demand for classes and space exceeds the existing capacities at the current location and can no longer be accommodated there in a pedagogically meaningful way. To meet the projected development and ensure sustainable school organizational structures at the same time, in addition to an expansion at the existing location, the parallel development of an additional school site is necessary. The task is to create future-proof spatial solutions that meet pedagogical requirements and enable a demand-oriented further development of the school offer. Therefore, a new SBBZ school is to be established in the Heilbronn district of Sontheim. Against this background, the municipal council has decided to conduct a high-rise and open-space planning implementation competition. The aim is to find the best possible architectural, functional, urban planning, open-space, economic and sustainable solution for the development of the Paul Meyle School or a supplementary school site. The task is described in detail in Part B of the announcement.
