Germany – Contractor's all-risk insurance services – Projektversicherung P-Option, BA II

DB InfraGO AG, represented by DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH, plans to construct Section II of the P-Option. The Wartberg Tunnel, as part of the P-Option, will provide a double-track connection between Stuttgart Feuerbach and the Cannstatt Tunnel. The subject measure of Section II follows on from the Extended Construction Preparation for the P-Option and runs in a north/northwesterly direction up to just before the existing S-Bahn. With the subject construction section BA II, the single-track tunnel tubes of the Wartberg Tunnel to be driven by mining methods, the connecting structure, expansion structures for the arrangement of jet fans, the associated technical shaft and an above-ground technical building will be realised. Construction section BA II ends to the north/northwest just before the auxiliary bridges provided for the planned replacement new construction for the Löwentor Bridge. The investment sum for this project is estimated at EUR 114 million (gross construction including planning). Approximately EUR 2 million of this has already been settled via an existing contract. The insurance contract now being tendered will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 31.10.2029 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type L) In the liability insurance, the cover amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the professional indemnity insurance, a separate cover amount of EUR 10,000,000 per claim is available in total for property and financial losses. The aforementioned amounts are tripled. The Extendend Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part amounts to 42 months. The liability period in the liability insurance is 10 years, and in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general excess is at least EUR 25,000. The excess for personal injuries is waived. In the professional indemnity insurance, the extended planning cover is included. As part of the extended planning cover, the excess is EUR 100,000. In particular, cover amounts, excesses and capacities are subject to negotiation.
