The TSG will see the Care Institute, in cooperation with relevant parties, assess for each new medicinal product, on the basis of a risk assessment, whether an evaluation is necessary, what type of evaluation it should be, and who will conduct it. This cooperation must be supported using an information management system (IMS). By collecting information in one place where the various parties have access, risk-based work can be carried out and communication about it supported, as described in the TSG. The information for risk-based work is collected from the Horizonscan and possibly other sources. Initially, the IMS must make the new intake process according to the TSG practically feasible, this legislation comes into effect on 1 January 2028. In the further development phase, additional support for the current situation of the medicinal product evaluation process (organisational, procedural, data and functional context) as well as further elements to be developed, can be included in the IMS.
