Czechia – Road traffic-control equipment – Modernizace řízení světelných křižovatek, statutární město Chomutov

The subject of the public procurement contract is the modernisation of traffic management at three major signal-controlled intersections in Chomutov, including connection to the traffic control centre. The project is part of the development of intelligent transport systems in the statutory city of Chomutov and will contribute to increased safety and smoothness of traffic, more efficient management of traffic flows, and create a technological basis for the further development of intelligent transport systems in the city. The subject of the contract includes:

• modernisation of the intersection Pražská × Dolní × Křivá,

• modernisation of the intersection Zborovská × Blatenská,

• modernisation of the intersection Blatenská × Rooseveltova × Moravská,

• traffic control centre.

The modernised signal-controlled intersections will be equipped with traffic signal control and intelligent transport systems technology ("SSZ/ITS"), new SSZ controllers, LED signals, video detection and RSU C-ITS units for communication with vehicles. The controllers will be connected to the municipal metropolitan data network (MAN) and linked to the traffic control centre, which will ensure supervision of the operation of the devices and collection of traffic data for their further use in traffic management and planning of traffic measures. The subject of the contract also includes:

- ensuring common traffic engineering measures (DIO) for both the construction and technological parts,

- carrying out all construction modifications, surface renewal and traffic signing (with the exception of the intersection Blatenská × Rooseveltova × Moravská, where no surface renewal or complete replacement of barriers will be carried out, only repairs in the scope of interventions according to the project documentation),

- creation of a common traffic control centre,

- ensuring the necessary software, licences, connection of individual intersections, setting up 5 workstations (client workstations), data transmission configuration, functional testing including 15-day test operation and training of operators.
