The reason for the procurement procedure for the technical equipment is the new construction of the primary school with a double sports hall in Schwäbisch Hall. The starting point was: - primarily the urgent need for expansion and the replacement of the existing site at Wirtsgasse. - Extended tasks of the school result in changed area requirements - not only quantitatively, but also qualitatively. - These challenges can be described with the following key topics: experiential learning, individual support and differentiation, full-day care, inclusion, staff development, communication, balance of rest and movement, counselling, integration of extracurricular partners, etc. - On the other hand, the new school building in combination with a sports hall with offers going beyond classical education should offer a great opportunity for more networking and encounters in the district. To achieve the best possible architectural and urban planning solution for the new construction, the municipal council decided to carry out a high-level architectural implementation competition. The competition procedure was completed with the jury session on 20 May 2025. The architectural firm a+r Architekten GmbH emerged as the winner from the procedure. In the meantime, the municipal council has commissioned the architectural firm a+r Architekten GmbH with the further planning services of the building planning according to § 34 HOAI. For the further implementation of the construction measure on the basis of the existing competition or preliminary design planning, further planning services are now required. ELT assignable costs: Primary school approx. 3,3 million euros net. Double sports hall approx. 1,2 million euros net. The date for the negotiations is scheduled for week 19-20 2026.
