Germany – Electric rotary converters – Umformer E1 Gesamtvergabe

The transformer station Hamburg-Harburg was decommissioned in December 2015 and is now to be recommissioned. The traction power converter E1 was completely dismantled and disposed of as part of the decommissioning. The 35MW converter E2, manufactured by ELIN (year of construction 1996), is still located in the machine hall and will be fully overhauled and partially renewed as part of the overall measure. The traction power converter E1 is to be completely newly planned, manufactured and commissioned as part of this project. During the decommissioning of the machines, all auxiliary units and switchgear and the entire periphery were also dismantled. These must be newly developed and manufactured for a recommissioning. Most of the periphery will be planned and prepared in advance for the new construction of machine E1 as part of the retrofit of machine E2. Various interfaces will arise in the course of the new construction, which must be taken into account. Close cooperation of all project participants is indispensable.
