The City of Edenkoben plans the construction of a four-group day-care centre. The new building is to be constructed on a 2,711 m² plot, preferably on one level, which is located directly on the Rhodter Straße. A site plan including an aerial view is part of the tender documents. A challenge is the planning of the access road, as the development for staff and parents, especially the parking spaces, is to be located on the northern parcel 2390/27. A vocational school is situated between the two, across whose premises the pedestrian access is to be provided. Goods delivery is planned via the Rhodter Straße, with the option of 1-3 additional parking spaces at the southern boundary of the property. The day-care centre is to be constructed preferably on one level; the requirements of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate for the planning of day-care centres must be observed. A cost estimate as of 27.10.2025 is also part of the tender documents. The costs have increased by approximately 300,000.00 EUR due to the installation of a fresh cooking kitchen, which is also to be planned. The kitchen is to be designed for approximately 200 meals, of which 100 meals for the new building and 100 meals for existing day-care centres. The cost information is given as a preliminary estimate and may change during the course of the project.
