Germany – Construction work for water and sewage pipelines – Ersatzerneuerung Fernleitung Ursprung BA I

N-ERGIE Aktiengesellschaft Nürnberg supplies the city of Nürnberg with drinking water. With a daily capacity of around 13,000 m³, the catchment areas of Krämersweiher and Ursprung contribute approximately 12% of the drinking water demand for Nürnberg. Since the commissioning of the Ursprung catchment in 1885, the water has been conveyed through the Ursprung pipeline (FLU) over a length of approximately 13.6 km to the Schmausenbuck reservoir. Due to the geodetic height difference between the catchment and the Schmausenbuck reservoir, the water is partially conveyed without the use of pumps. In the first construction phase, the pipeline is to be renewed using a reduction method. The entire route for the 1st construction phase is 3.2 km.
