Germany – Street-lighting maintenance services – StrB Wennigsen - TNW

The subject of this procurement is the operation of the public lighting installations in the municipality of Wennigsen Deister (approx. 1,941 lighting points). The future contractor shall carry out the operation, maintenance, repair and fault rectification, renewal and extension, and new construction and dismantling of electrical street lighting installations in the area of the municipality of Wennigsen during the contract period. The future contractor shall, to the extent legally possible, be the installation manager with regard to the lighting installations and, in particular, ensure that faults and failures are rectified quickly or, if rectification is not possible, at least provisional measures are taken to remedy the situation. To this end, the contractor shall maintain a permanent telephone service for receiving information about faults and failures. The future contractor, as the operator, assumes responsibility for the safe operation and safe condition of the lighting installations. The contractor will additionally be commissioned with any incidental requirements for street lighting. This includes - subject to a corresponding grant notification - the implementation of energy efficiency investments. The municipality has applied for grants for the energy-related refurbishment of the lighting installations and the conversion of the control system. It is therefore essential for the municipality that the future contractor completes the work required on its part within the funding window available (see tender documents). It is expressly stated that services for energy-related refurbishment will only be commissioned if the grant applied for has been approved. The contractor will be granted a right of use by the municipality for the purpose of providing the lighting service for the lighting installations necessary for the lighting success, to the extent necessary to fulfil the contractual obligations.
