Germany – Works for complete or part construction and civil engineering work – Wasserwerk Wildpark - Ersatzneubau Filterhalle - LOS 1 Ingenieurbau + LOS 2 Verfahrenstechnik

The Wildpark Potsdam Waterworks (operator: Energie und Wasser Potsdam GmbH) serves for the treatment and supply of drinking water in the Potsdam area. As part of the modernisation of the treatment plant, the existing open filter hall is to be replaced by a new two-stage closed filter hall (pressure filter plant). The middle building section (open filter hall, built in the 1930s) will be demolished. The replacement new building will be constructed between the remaining existing buildings of the closed filter hall and the engine house, which must remain in operation throughout the entire construction project. The overall measure consists of several contracts. Preparatory measures and a temporary treatment plant have already been published/awarded. The main measure consists of the present contract (Lot 1 Civil Engineering and Lot 2 Plant Engineering) and a further contract for the EMSR technology, which is to be published at a later date. The task is to replace the open filter plant with a two-stage, closed filter plant while simultaneously increasing the treatment capacity. The new treatment plant - the new partial flow or the new treatment line - is designed for the following flow rates: Qh,max = 280 m³/h Qh,mittel = 250 m³/h (5,500 m³/d over 22 h/d) It should be noted that the prospective demand of this line of up to 5,500 m³/d will only occur for a few weeks per year. Usually, the plant will be operated with a base load of approx. 200 m³/h. The project is to be implemented during ongoing operations. Therefore, the construction measures must be planned and executed in such a way that the adjacent existing closed filter plant can remain in operation. The planned measures are divided into three lots and essentially include the following services:

Lot 1 - Civil Engineering: Demolition of the entire middle section of the waterworks with the open filter basins and the clean water chamber and static securing of adjacent existing buildings. Erection of the replacement new building on the same site.

Lot 2 - Water Technology Equipment: Pressure filter plant for water treatment (iron and manganese removal) including oxidation with atmospheric oxygen as well as associated piping and flushing technology
