Austria – Ash disposal services – Ascheentsorgung bei den Biomasseheizwerken der Energie Steiermark Wärme GmbH

Energy Steiermark Wärme GmbH operates biomass heating plants at twelve locations in Styria with varying thermal output. The main fuel used is wood chips and bark. Depending on the fuel, different combustion residues are produced in the form of grate ash, fly ash, fine fly ash, and ash mixture. These combustion residues must be disposed of or recycled in an orderly and environmentally sound manner by authorized disposal companies in accordance with Section 15 (5a) of the Waste Management Act 2002 (AWG 2002). Framework agreements are awarded for these disposal services. The procurement is divided into 16 lots. A framework agreement will subsequently be concluded with the best bidder per lot.
