Explanation: This contract concerns the conclusion of a framework agreement with one contractor for the design, development and delivery of a care-specific CO₂ reporting platform for Ziekenhuis aan de Stroom (ZAS) vzw. ZAS is a merger organisation consisting of several hospital campuses and supporting services, with a complex and large-scale care structure. Within this context, there is a need for an integrated application that maps the ecological footprint of care pathways and delivery, buildings etc.

Objective of the contract: The contract aims to design, develop and deliver a care-specific CO₂ reporting platform for Ziekenhuis aan de Stroom (ZAS), enabling ZAS to map, analyse and reduce its CO₂ footprint in a structured, reproducible and future-proof manner. The contract does not merely consist of delivering a reporting tool, but of developing an abstract, care-specific and future-proof emission model, supported by a robust data architecture that allows data from multiple complex source systems to be unlocked, modelled and processed reproducibly. The solution must enable ZAS to calculate, analyse and use its CO₂ footprint at different levels of granularity as a decision-making instrument for reduction measures.
