Description

Site Description: The planned measure involves the demolition of the existing Lounge facilities down to the shell and core. This will be followed by the conversion into a security control area with new CT scanners. This measure aims to further increase the capacity of security checks and to adapt to the current security standard. In addition to the actual inspection lanes, the existing ancillary rooms (i.e. office, waiting, smoking) will also be renovated and adapted. The construction site covers a gross floor area of approximately 1,120 m2. Due to the changed use of the premises, the ventilation network assigned to this area will be dismantled up to the connection to the main channel and rebuilt to meet current requirements. Further ventilation ducts, which are assigned to other areas in Terminal 1, run through the construction area; these may need to be relocated during the construction work. The individual systems are described in more detail in the following text. WC/Technical Rooms: The newly built men's and women's WC, as well as 1 technical room for electrical engineering, will be connected to the existing WC ventilation network. Constant volume flow regulators and silencers will be provided for room control. Tellerventiles will be installed as outlets. Fresh Air Supply SiKo + Waiting Zone: The entire fresh air supply for the new SiKo area, including the ancillary rooms and the upstream waiting zone, is to be provided via the climate zone 1 (warm and cold air duct) determined at Terminal 1. The newly installed ducts will be connected to the existing network for this purpose. 2-channel variable mixing boxes are planned for room control. Ceiling swirl diffusers, which will be integrated into the new ceiling grid of the suspended ceiling, will serve as supply air outlets. Exhaust Air SiKo and Ancillary Rooms: For the SiKo area and the ancillary rooms, it is planned to connect the exhaust air to an existing outlet assigned to the Lounge. For control, exhaust air variable volume flow regulators matching the supply air mixing boxes are planned. For the exhaust air in the control area, waiting zone, offices and lounge, grilles in the ventilation duct, which will be installed in the installation plane of the suspended ceiling, will be used. For the tutor room, exhaust air ceiling swirl diffusers, which will be integrated into the new ceiling grid of the suspended ceiling, are planned. Exhaust Air Waiting Zone: Since this area is in the open hall connection with the check-in hall, this area will be connected to the existing combined exhaust and smoke extraction system of the check-in hall. The same variable volume flow regulators as in the control area are planned as control devices. Ventilation grilles in the duct are also planned for the outlets. Exhaust Air Smoking Room: The exhaust air from this area will be discharged via a separate exhaust roof ventilator to prevent mixing of the smoking exhaust air with other exhaust air flows and thus to avoid odour transfer. Ceiling swirl diffusers, which will be integrated into the new ceiling grid of the suspended ceiling, are planned as outlets. Smoke Extraction Control Area + Waiting Zone: In the event of smoke extraction, the regular ventilation (supply and exhaust air) of the SiKo rooms will be automatically stopped or the volume flow regulators will be completely closed. For the discharge of smoke, one smoke extraction fan in the waiting zone and three smoke extraction fans in the control area on the roof of the SiKo are planned. Smoke Extraction Internal Ancillary Rooms: In the event of smoke extraction, the regular ventilation (supply and exhaust air) of the ancillary rooms will be automatically stopped or the volume flow regulators will be completely closed. For the discharge of smoke, a separate smoke extraction fan on the roof of the SiKo is planned. A small duct network with smoke extraction dampers to the individual rooms will allow targeted smoke extraction of the rooms.
