Greece – Tree pruning – Κλάδευση και Φύτευση Δέντρων στα Δημοτικά Πεζοδρόμια - Μελέτη 1/2026 - Προϋπολογισμού 5.533.599,20€ (συμπεριλαμβανομένου ΦΠΑ 24 %), της Διεύθυνσης Πρασίνου & Περιβάλλοντος του Τμήματος Συντήρησης Πρασίνου Α΄, Β΄& Γ΄ Κοινότητας.

The subject of the contract, according to Study No. 1/2026 (Annex II of Declaration No. 26/2026), titled: «Pruning and Planting of Trees in Municipal Pedestrian Areas», of the Department of Maintenance of Green Spaces A', B' & C' Community, of the Directorate of Green Spaces & Environment, is the execution of the service provision which exclusively concerns the maintenance, expansion and protection of tree alignments within the urban fabric. With the implementation of this action, the Directorate aims to reduce the hazard posed by the condition of the trees in the tree alignments, with the ultimate goal of protecting citizens, enhancing the environmental upgrade of the city and improving the quality of life for both residents and visitors to the city. The achievement of the above objectives is sought in total with works in the tree alignments that concern:

- Pruning of the crown (removal of low branches) 8,634 trees per year.

- Renewal and Pruning of the crown 10,550 trees per year, of various categories in pedestrian areas,

- Felling of trees (green following relevant permit or dry) 900 trees, hazardous trees in pedestrian areas throughout the city by priority and upon indication of the service.

- Plant protection 1,000 trees per year, with biological preparations in any area of the city where infestation appears and is indicated to the contractor,

- The planting of 8,000 new trees in empty tree pits throughout the city, upon indication of the service.

- The watering of the 8,000 newly planted trees.

- Uprooting 1,699 stumps (the part of the root that remains after the tree is cut) in tree pits throughout the city upon relevant indication,

- Maintenance works of tree alignments (watering, cleaning of tree pits from unwanted vegetation- weeds).
