Through this procurement, the Department of Health of Torrevieja (hereinafter, the Department) aims to meet the need to contract the service of transport, courier, correspondence and distribution between the centres dependent on it, as well as with other institutions and bodies. The proper functioning of the centres attached to the Department, as well as the appropriate communication between the Department and other institutions and bodies, requires multiple transport operations of all kinds of documentation, correspondence, sanitary and non-sanitary material, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, clinical and biological samples, etc. To carry out this transport, it is essential to have specific and specialised material, human and organisational resources, avoiding the serious health care disadvantages that could result from their malfunction. The lack of own human and material resources to meet the needs described, obliges the contracting of the services that are the subject of this procedure, in order to achieve the healthcare and institutional objectives assigned to the Department, with full compliance with the principles of budgetary stability, social, environmental and innovation sustainability.
