Germany – Staff training services – Antennenwartung 2027 - 2031

Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR) - OberpfaffenhofenGermanyPublished on Aug 16, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) operates a ground station at the DLR site in Weilheim. With your help, communication links are established with a satellite during an overpass, enabling simultaneous data traffic in both directions. To meet the various requirements of the satellites and space probes, different types of antennas are in use. All antennas have program-controlled positioning. The antennas for Earth-orbiting satellites are equipped with automatic tracking devices (Autotrack). All antennas must be adapted to the satellites in terms of signal frequency. The antennas and station facilities are controlled and monitored from a common control room. The control center in Oberpfaffenhofen coordinates the operational use of the antennas and relays the commands generated in the control room directly to the ground station in Weilheim. In the opposite direction, the signals received from the spacecraft are transmitted to the control center in digital form after processing. The DLR site in Weilheim dates back to 1968. The Weilheim ground station is operated on a 24-hour shift basis, seven days a week. Job description: Annual maintenance is carried out in the spring (April/May) and in the autumn (October/November), distinguishing between major and minor maintenance. A maintenance protocol must be created for each system during maintenance. The individual measured values (temperatures, limit switch values, work carried out and listing of defects, remarks and notes) must be clearly assigned to each antenna. A maintenance report must be created and signed by a DLR-Weilheim employee after each work step (maintenance or inspection). The maintenance protocols must be available in electronic form until invoicing. The maintenance work must be carried out on weekdays, Monday to Thursday from 7:30 - 16:30 and on Friday from 7:30 - 13:00. The contractor must be able to procure spare parts and lubricants for the maintenance work. Storage facilities at the site are available, by prior agreement with the Weilheim operations technology, only for the duration of the maintenance work. The procurement of oils, greases, consumables, small materials and auxiliaries, as well as their proper disposal in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations, is part of the maintenance contract. A maintenance contract with a term of four (4) years is to be awarded. The following must also be noted: The provisions of the Satellite Data Protection Act (Act on the Protection against Security Threats to the Federal Republic of Germany by the Dissemination of High-Quality Remote Sensing Data - SatDSiG) shall apply. The requirements of the export control regulations applicable to the project must be taken into account, particularly with regard to the handling of goods under the Foreign Trade and Payments Act (AWV), the EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU 428/2009), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Place of performance / activity: DLR e.V., Weilheim site, Reichenbergstraße 8, 82362 Weilheim. Planned contract period: 01.05.2027 - 30.04.2031. The bidder may submit only one application for participation! The final award of the contract is subject to the release by the grantor.
