Germany – Engineering design services for the construction of civil engineering works – Kiesbergtunnel - Objekt- und Fachplanungen Konstruktion

The planned construction project involves a comprehensive replacement new-build project for the Kiesberg Tunnel on the state road L 70. Characteristic of the road tunnel, which has been in operation since 1970, is its two-storey design, in which the two two-lane directional carriageways are largely routed one above the other. Due to outdated operating technology and age-related concrete damage, there is a significant need for renovation. The structural peculiarities of the engineering structure result in increased requirements for the planning and implementation of the measure. The project also includes a replacement new-build for the dilapidated overpass structure of the L 70 over Viehhofstraße. Due to the high project-specific requirements and the particular complexity, the "Integrated Project Implementation" (IPA) is chosen as the project implementation model. The aim is to ensure a cooperative and goal-oriented implementation of the project through appropriate framework conditions. The central element is a joint alliance contract (multi-party contract) between the contracting authority and the key partners responsible for planning and construction. Details of the IPA and the essential contractual provisions of the future alliance contract are summarised in a set of key points, which is attached as Annex 9 (Part of the Tender Documents).
