Section 130a Paragraph 8 of the German Social Code Book V (SGB V) allows health insurance companies (KK) and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory KK. The GWQ acts as the Society for Economy and Quality with KK according to Section 130a Paragraph 8 Sentence 5 SGB V for its shareholder and customer funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the German Competition Act (GWB) is carried out by the GWQ ServicePlus AG. The contract start date is 01.04.2026.
