Description

The subject of the procurement is a simulation system (AV system) primarily for educational use, to be installed in the facilities of the Jyväskylä Hippos competence center, Unit of Health and Welfare, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, due to be completed in 2027. The simulation system must include all the equipment and software listed in the invitation to tender. The simulation environment covers not only the actual simulation rooms but also all learning spaces on two (2) floors and control rooms, from which the simulation scenarios and connections to different teaching spaces are controlled. The simulation system is intended to create a variety of realistic simulations of social and health care interaction and customer situations for educational purposes. The purpose of the simulation system is to enable the depiction, recording and real-time control of teaching situations. The new Hippos center being built in the City of Sport Jyväskylä will offer a unique entity for moving, exercising, and competing. The Hippos area will further strengthen Jyväskylä's position as a leading city for research and education in sport and elite sport. The Hippos center consists of four (4) entities: a sports center, a competence center, an ice sports center, and a parking hall, Hippos-Park. The construction is carried out in phases, and the entire project will be completed by the end of 2027. Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, Unit of Health and Welfare, will move into the premises of the Hippos competence center, to the fifth (5.) and sixth (6.) floors. The contracting entity has previously published an information request related to the procurement (585563 / Jamk - Simulation system information request) and an invitation to tender (603116 / Jamk - Hippos competence center simulation system). The tendering/procurement was discontinued on 9.6.2026 due to essential errors in the invitation to tender. The procurement has not been divided into parts, as the different sub-areas of the procurement form a functional and technical entity, the implementation of which by several suppliers would cause a significant risk in terms of compatibility, division of responsibility and schedule management. Dividing the procurement would significantly increase the need for coordination and could jeopardise the proper implementation of the contract. In addition, an overall solution enables the implementation of the procurement in a technically manageable and cost-effective manner.
