Switzerland – Environmental services – Projekt Mitholz: Probenahme und Messungen an Grundwasser und Oberflächengewässern 2027-2037

In connection with the clearance of the former munitions depot Mitholz, extensive construction work will be carried out over the next approximately 20 years. The project perimeter is located on a contaminated site registered in the cadastre of contaminated sites of the VBS (KbS VBS). To protect groundwater and surface waters, continuous water monitoring will be carried out according to the monitoring concept (annex to the specification). This includes, among other things, regular sampling and field parameter measurements in groundwater measuring points, springs and flowing waters with subsequent laboratory analysis. Depending on the progress of the construction work and in the event of intervention requirements, additional measurements and sampling will be carried out. Furthermore, supplementary investigations for hydrogeological and contaminated site-related issues may be necessary. The subject of the tender is fieldwork for water monitoring as well as for supplementary hydrogeological and contaminated site-relevant investigations in the period 2027-2037. The services include in particular: • Pumping and bailing sampling in groundwater measuring points and piezometers; • Sampling and discharge measurements at springs and flowing waters; • Recording of field parameter, level and water level measurements; • Coordination of sample analysis with the commissioned laboratories; • Coordination of the work with the relevant experts of the cross-cutting theme QT91 technical investigations and environmental management. The focus of the contract is on the implementation of a measurement and sampling campaign according to basic monitoring (annex 1) every seven months with alternately 19 or 39 measuring points (16 piezometers, 11 springs, 9 surface waters) in the period 2027 – 2037.
