The municipality of Altendiez intends to develop a new residential area with a total of 90 building plots on the western outskirts, at the exit to Hirschberg on the B 417, in 2 construction phases. As part of the development of the new residential area, a total of three retention ponds with a total retention volume of approx. 1,360 m³ for rainwater are planned, which will then be throttled and discharged into a receiving water body (Langenbach) via feeder channels. Approximately 2.5 km of channel lines in the separate system, as well as approx. 90 manhole and 180 property connections in the construction area for wastewater disposal will be created. In the area of water supply, approx. 1.4 km of new main water pipes will be created. The road surface, including footpaths, has an area of approx. 8,700 m². The development measure has, according to a preliminary cost estimate, a total construction cost volume for the water supply, wastewater disposal including the necessary retention ponds and road construction of approx. 5.8 million euros net. Costs for 1st construction phase amount to approx. 3,800,000.00 EUR (net), in detail: water supply: 550,000.00 EUR; wastewater disposal: 1,200,000.00 EUR; retention ponds: 650,000.00 EUR; road construction: 1,400,000.00 EUR. Costs for 2nd construction phase amount to approx. 2,005,000.00 EUR (net), in detail: water supply: 150,000.00 EUR; wastewater disposal: 630,000.00 EUR; retention ponds: 260,000.00 EUR; road construction: 965,000.00 EUR.
