Plus utilisé - Société des Transports Intercommunaux de BruxellesBelgiumPublished on Jun 11, 2026
No deadline given

Description

This contract is part of the project to electrify the Petite-Île bus depot, currently used for the outdoor storage of approximately 80 buses. To accommodate electric buses, the site must be fully equipped with new high and low voltage electrical infrastructure, as well as the necessary structures for the placement of future charging systems and adapted to the specific fire prevention measures for electric propulsion buses. The services include, among others:

1. High voltage electrical substations and distribution

• Construction of a new outdoor substation to replace the existing guard post (complete demolition of the building). This substation will house the HT cells, four 2 000 kVA dry transformers, the general low voltage panels and the auxiliaries.

• Adaptation of the existing substation located in the main building, including the replacement of transformers and the addition of a specific distribution panel for powering the chargers.

• Connection of the equipment to the STIB's internal high voltage network (11 kV network).

2. Low voltage distribution and power supply to chargers

• Supply and installation of cable trays, risers, power cables and support structures for transporting energy between the substations and the future chargers.

• Installation of low voltage distribution panels dedicated to powering the chargers and lighting.

3. Charging structures and metalwork

• Complete dismantling of the existing gantries and their equipment.

• Construction of new large-span metal gantries allowing:

o the attachment of charging hoods,

o the passage of cable trays,

o the integration of luminaires.

These gantries are designed to cover the bus parking alignments and support the recharging equipment.

4. Fire safety and compartmentalisation

• Construction of prefabricated concrete firewalls to compartmentalise the parking alignments and limit the spread of a fire.

• Creation of fire brigade corridors in accordance with SIAMU requirements.

• Installation of local and general emergency stops allowing the power supply to the chargers to be cut off.

5. External surface arrangements

• Demolition of existing islands and canopies and complete refurbishment of the concrete slabs necessary for bus traffic.

• Reshaping of slopes, renewal of rainwater drains and laying of technical channels.

• Construction of dedicated slabs for the placement of chargers.

6. Lighting and low current

• Installation of a new outdoor lighting system complying with standard EN 12464-2, with several levels of intensity.

• Relocation, recommissioning and recabling of low current equipment (cameras, operational telephones, Wi-Fi), as well as the installation of temporary cabling during the works.

7. Phasing and maintenance of operations

• The works will be carried out while maintaining operations, with a progressive phasing that allows the operational functionality of the depot to be maintained.

• Coordination with the temporary car park on the neighbouring site ("Léonidas"), used to move some of the buses during the works.
