The Verbandsgemeinde Südeifel plans to update the landscape plan. This will involve formulating guiding principles and objectives for the landscape development of the Verbandsgemeinde. The landscape plan will propose measures for the protection, maintenance, and development of nature and the landscape, ensuring that the concerns of nature conservation are taken into account in the (future) structural development of the municipalities. This will prepare for the upcoming comprehensive update of the land-use plan of the Verbandsgemeinde, taking into account the spatial partial land-use plans currently in use for the areas of Irrel and Neuerburg. In the first stage, the objectives of nature conservation and landscape management will be developed as a basis for supplying action and thus as a nature conservation expert plan for the nature conservation authorities in accordance with § 8 Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG).
