Description

The project aims to partially renew the railway infrastructure at Enge station, including the adjacent tunnels (Ulmberg and Enge tunnels), to meet the increased demands of passenger and freight traffic. The work primarily involves the restoration of the tunnel vaults and the construction of a fixed track in both tunnels. Additionally, the drainage systems, cable infrastructure, and embankments will be renewed, and the overhead contact lines will be adapted. At Zürich-Enge station, the existing railway accesses will be adapted and supplemented in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG); new platform edges including the extension of the platforms into the Enge tunnel and the addition of barrier-free accesses are planned. The extensive construction work will be carried out during ongoing railway operations and in a challenging environment with several parallel third-party projects. The work will be carried out in stages to ensure operational and workplace safety. The implementation will sustainably improve the operational suitability of the tunnels, the safety and accessibility of Enge station, and upgrade the infrastructure for future traffic demands. The investment volume is approximately CHF 70 million (including SBB services).

Project Alliance: SBB has opted for a project alliance for the project implementation in accordance with SIA guideline 2065 "Planning and Building with Project Alliances". The SIA guideline 2065 was published on 01.08.2024. The project alliance is based on the consensus of the alliance partners to implement the project in a culture of cooperative collaboration and always committed to the common project goals. The management of all alliance partners is aware of their exemplary function, upholds the agreed code of values and lives the agreed values. At the time of the start of this project alliance, the construction project is completed and the planning approval has been submitted. SBB is looking for a team consisting of the following partners for the implementation:

* Contractor Tunnel + Civil Engineering

* Contractor Railway Technology

SBB itself acts as the client, planner and realisation partner within the project alliance. The alliance manager will be determined by the alliance management team at the start of the project alliance. The procurement procedure will be carried out as a selective procedure with integrated dialogue (Art. 24 BöB). The bidders will form themselves and submit their applications for participation in the selective procedure directly as a team (i.e. consisting of contractor tunnel + civil engineering and contractor railway technology). Presumably, the maximum of three best-qualified teams will be invited to the dialogue phase.

Note: The project references and key personnel for the following specialist areas must necessarily come from the respective alliance partner:

* Tunnel + Civil Engineering

* Railway Technology: Track
