Denmark – Drinking-water treatment plant construction work – Nyt Nr. Vinstrup Vandværk til Hjørring Vandselskab A/S

Hjørring Vandselskab wishes to secure the future water supply for consumers in Hjørring. There is a need to establish a waterworks facility with a large production capacity, flexibility and the possibility of expansion that can secure drinking water for many years to come. The waterworks will replace the existing waterworks at Horne (Hirtshals Vandværk Vest), which currently faces major renovations and modernizations to bring them up to a level that is both contemporary and can guarantee future supply security. The new waterworks will be located on the northern half of parcel no. 6s Skibsby By, Skt. Olai, owned by Hjørring Vandselskab. A local plan for the area has been developed as part of the project. The current tender includes the design and execution of a new waterworks facility as a total enterprise, including buildings, water treatment plants, machinery installations, electrical and SRO systems, as well as related technical installations and piping work within the enterprise boundaries described in the tender material. The tender also includes the services and options outlined in the comprehensive tender material. The waterworks will be built with 2 treatment lines and designed so that it can later be expanded to 4 treatment lines. The building and plant should also be designed with the possibility of future advanced water treatment. Under reference to the Utilities Directive article 65, it can be stated that the tendered task will not be divided into sub-contracts, as the contracting authority has assessed that, given the characteristics of the task, it is most appropriately solved by a single company. A compensation of 75,000 DKK will be provided per bidder who does not enter into a contract, but only upon submission of conditional bids.
