The Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) is an independent research and teaching institute dedicated to the exploration and protection as well as the sustainable use of tropical coastal ecosystems. As a member of the Leibniz Association, the ZMT works inter- and transdisciplinarily with various partners to create scientific foundations for the preservation of these sensitive ecosystems. The chemical analysis department supports our scientists with a comprehensive portfolio of instruments. Measurements are carried out both in our chemistry laboratory at the ZMT and in tropical partner countries and on ship expeditions. Furthermore, we offer training and education for students, scientists, and guests to promote knowledge transfer and professional qualification in the field of chemical analysis.
