Description

In Norway the air quality is measured in a number of places to monitor the levels of air pollution. The Pollution Regulation chapter 7 on local air quality requires the quality of outdoor air quality, and also sets a number of requirements as to how air quality measurements shall take place. A body with an important role in ensuring the quality of the air quality measurement data is a national reference laboratory for air quality measurements (NRL). NRL is an independent body with the main aim of safeguarding and ensuring the quality of the measurement data. The NRL role is regulated in the Pollution Regulation chapter 7 (§ 7-7 and § 7-14).
