The municipal utility company Stadtwerke Baden-Baden has developed a plan for the district heating supply of the residential areas Obere Breite and Cité based on the necessary measures. In a further step, it is planned to further expand and transform the district heating supply in the area of the district Oos as well as the adjacent areas in Ooswinkel and Briegelackerstraße. There is a grant approval under the Federal Funding for Efficient Heat Networks (BEW) for the creation of a transformation plan as well as planning services (Lph 2-4) for measures of the measures package 1 (MP 1). The transformation plan is currently being processed and is not the subject of the tenders. The planning to be tendered must be coordinated with the transformation plan. In addition to the projects described in the following section as part of MP 1, there is a fundamental need for transformation and modernisation of the existing heating centre at Briegelacker. Furthermore, further significant generation potentials such as possible wastewater heat utilisation with up to approx. 6 MWth at the sewage treatment plant have already been identified. These potentials could possibly be used in the future for the transformation of the existing networks and further prospective network expansions. The measures are to be taken into account prospectively in the considerations of the planning for MP 1, but are not part of the present tender. As part of MP 1, the construction of a heating centre is planned. The heat customers in the district Oos are to be supplied with heat from the heating centre. According to the current status, the following planning services of the performance spectra Technical Equipment, Buildings and Interior Spaces as well as Structural Design are to be provided for the following measures: Building Planning and Structural Design > Foundation > Heating Centre Building at New Location > Foundations Building and Heat Storage > External Facilities > Fuel Storage Technical Equipment > Wood Heating approx. 2,000 kWth > Flue Gas Condensation Wood Heating > 2-stage Heat Pump System 700-1,000 kWth (Heat Sources: Flue Gas Condensation Wood Heating and Outside Air) > Combined Heat and Power Plant up to approx. 500 kWel > Auxiliary Boiler > Heat Storage approx. 1,000 m³ > Complete Integration (Heating Technology, Electrical Engineering, Control Technology, Sanitary, etc.) incl. Interconnected Control > Possible Decentralised Integration of Existing Systems (e.g. Wood Chip Heating Waste Disposal, etc.) According to the current status, the following planning services of the performance spectrum Civil Engineering Structures are to be provided for the heat network: BA 1 > approx. 2,600 Trm Main Pipes "Connecting Network" > approx. 260 Trm House Connection Pipes Connecting Network (approx. 17 Connections) > approx. 2,300 Trm Main Pipes Area "Obere Breite" > approx. 1,320 Trm House Connection Pipes Area "Obere Breite" (approx. 88 Connections) > Crossing Railway Line and Oos Canal BA 2 > approx. 1,800 Trm Main Pipes Area "Cité" > approx. 620 Trm House Connection Pipes Area "Cité" (approx. 41 Connections) Due to the high overall scope, it is assumed that the implementation of the heat network will take place over a period of several years. The above-mentioned construction sections are currently planned for the expansion of the heat network. The Lph 2-4 are to be provided jointly for both construction sections. The Lph 5-8 are to be provided individually for each construction section. The size of the construction sections may change during the course of planning. Temporary solutions for the supply of individual areas may possibly have to be provided.
