Netherlands – Road construction works – Reconstructie wegen Dordrecht Fase 1

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam N.V. is carrying out reconstructions on several roads in the port area of Dordrecht, namely the Van Leeuwenhoekweg, ‘s-Gravendeelsedijk, Kilkade and Kreekweg. The work mainly consists of (non-exhaustive list):

Removal and application (approx. 10,000 tonnes of asphalt) of asphalt pavements;

Removal of element pavements and edge closures;

Installation of an HWA sewer including inspection pits and connections;

Removal and application of foundation layers;

Application of foam bitumen foundation (approx. 9,000 m² of foam bitumen with existing foundation);

Application of element pavements incl. edge closures;

Removal and application of cable work and masts for public lighting;

Coordination with environmental stakeholders.

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam has drawn up a BLVC framework. The contractor will have to draw up and execute the BLVC plan. The project will be carried out using a RAW specification.
