To improve the local transport infrastructure, the town of Alsfeld plans to carry out a comprehensive renewal of the Merschroder Straße and the rehabilitation or renewal of the bridge structure over the Liederbach. For the municipal road In der Hohl, depending on the section to be developed, either a comprehensive renewal or a first-time development is planned. Based on the existing structural condition, there is a significant need for renewal in both road sections. In addition, the final development of the Hainberg Straße is planned. The Merschroder Straße shows clear damage to the road surface in the form of cracks, settlements and unevenness. The pavements, ancillary facilities and the existing drainage systems also no longer meet the current functional and accessibility requirements. The road In der Hohl is also in a condition requiring extensive rehabilitation and is not yet fully developed. Since the Hainberg Straße currently does not have a final development status, it will be fully developed as part of the measure. Another component of the measure is the renewal of the slab bridge structure, which is located in the southern section of the Merschroder Straße and crosses the Liederbach. The engineering structure shows age- and use-related deficiencies in the superstructure and substructure and should be taken into account in the planning of the overall measure and renewed or upgraded depending on the results of the investigation.
