Sweden – Breakdown and recovery services for motor vehicles – Flyttning, uppställning och skrotning av fordon

The procurement comprises two parts: Towing service; moving of vehicles to designated parking place; storage and scrapping of vehicles. UM intends to enter into agreements with one supplier per sub-area, but one supplier may be relevant for both sub-areas. The tenderer may therefore submit a tender for one or both sub-areas. Each sub-area is evaluated separately.

A vehicle that is incorrectly parked and disrupts order and safety in traffic and the environment, or has been parked for an extended period, may in some cases be moved from the site following a decision by the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Police Authority or the municipality. In Växjö Municipality, it is the Department of Public Works that is responsible for the moving of vehicles. Decisions on moving are based on the Act (SFS 1982:129) and the Ordinance (SFS 1982:198) on moving of vehicles in certain cases.

Good cooperation with mutual trust between the contracting authority and the supplier is of great importance when it comes to handling someone else's property. The aim of the agreement is to achieve simplicity in communication and handling, and to make the overall solution as customer-adapted as possible.
