Belgium – Construction work for water projects – Reconversie site EDR - Verlengen van kaaimuur K403B (van DD1 tot DD3) en dempen van DD1 en DD2

The reconversion of the EDR site has been underway for years, with new office buildings, a new section of quay wall, and the renovation of dry dock 5 and the site layout already completed. Many more works are planned in the future within the Masterplan EDR. Currently, a study is underway for these works, namely contract B11178 - “Masterplan EDR Design Study”, which includes the design for the extension of the existing quay wall K403B and the infilling of DD1 and DD2. A negotiated procedure with prior publication is being initiated for the execution of works for the extension of quay wall K403B (from DD1 to DD3) and the infilling of DD1 and DD2. The works include:

• The extension of the existing quay wall 403B by constructing a new quay wall (from dry dock 1 to dry dock 3)

• The infilling of dry dock 1

• The infilling of dry dock 2

• Conditional part: Construction of a buffer basin in the existing dry dock 2
