Germany – Damage or loss insurance services – DVA Track & Mechanical Engineering Insurance (TMI) DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH

The subject of the procurement is an all-risk insurance on a new value basis for mobile and transportable plants and equipment of the contracting authority. These are essentially work machines and equipment used in the track area, such as, for example, rapid track renewal machines, ballast cleaning machines, track and universal tamping machines, locomotives, assembly vehicles, slewing and erection cranes, ballast ploughing machines, material conveyor, transport and silo wagons, track power cars, rail grinding train machines, two-way excavators, loading equipment, measuring equipment – each including accessories. The total insurance sum amounts to approximately 630 million EUR. Around 225 million EUR of this is for 27 work machines with an insurance sum of > 5 million EUR per machine. The machines to be insured are divided into four groups: Group 1: 2 rapid track renewal machines Group 2: 3 ballast cleaning machines Group 3: tamping machines Group 4: other mobile and transportable plants and equipment < 5 million EUR per machine. The most expensive individual machines are two rapid track renewal machines with an insurance sum of 16.5 million EUR per machine and 3 ballast cleaning machines with insurance sums of 13.2 million EUR per machine. The insurance sums are given both as new values and tax values. The following deductible variants are tendered: Groups 1-3: 50,000 EUR and 150,000 EUR (the contracting authority reserves the right to choose only one deductible) and Group 4: 50,000 EUR. For Groups 1-3, a uniform premium rate per deductible is charged and for Group 4 a separate one.
