Bulgaria – Snow-clearing services – „Зимно поддържане, снегопочистване и опесъчаване на общинската пътна мрежа в община Кирково през зимен сезон 2026/2027 г. - Кирково - горен район“

The public procurement contract, to be executed under the conditions described in the present tender documentation, is for: „Winter maintenance, snow clearance and de-icing of the municipal road network in Kirkovo Municipality during the 2026/2027 winter season - Kirkovo - upper district“. A total of 32.80 km is envisaged for snow clearance and 15.30 km for de-icing, according to the attached list of envisaged road sections. Winter road maintenance includes a set of activities related to ensuring their passability under winter conditions and removing or mitigating the adverse effects of snow and ice on traffic conditions. The main activities for winter road maintenance include:

2.1. Preparatory works:

a) drawing up winter maintenance plans;

b) technical inspections of the declared machinery and equipment for use;

c) preparing the roads for operation under winter conditions;

d) ensuring the necessary materials;

e) coordinating activities between the organs of API, the municipality and the companies maintaining the republican and municipal roads;

f) determining the sequence of snow protection measures, depending on the level of winter maintenance of the specific municipal roads in the operational plan;

2.2. Snow protection of roads by constructing and placing snow protection devices - permanent (roadside green belts, earth dikes, etc.) and temporary (fences from portable inventory shields) devices, as well as processing roadside slopes, preparing the area around the road surface, cutting back shrubs and young forest with a tree thickness of up to 10 cm., removing materials and other objects within the scope of the road, which lead to the formation of snowdrifts and hinder movement under winter conditions.
