Germany – Construction work for tunnels – Kiesbergtunnel - Ausführung konstruktive Gewerke

The planned construction project involves a comprehensive replacement new-build project for the Kiesberg Tunnel on the state road L 70. The road tunnel, which has been in operation since 1970, is characterised by its two-storey design, where the two two-lane directional carriageways are largely guided one above the other. Due to outdated operating technology and age-related concrete damage, there is a significant need for renovation. The structural peculiarities of the engineering structure lead to increased demands on the planning and implementation of the measure. The project also includes a replacement new-build for the dilapidated overpass structure of the L 70 over the Viehhofstraße. Due to the high project-specific requirements and the particular complexity, the "Integrated Project Implementation" (IPA) is chosen as the project implementation model. The aim is to ensure a cooperative and goal-oriented implementation of the project through suitable framework conditions. The central element is a joint alliance contract (multi-party contract) between the contracting authority and the key partners responsible for planning and construction.
