Germany – Welfare services for children and young people – Einrichtung, Organisation und Betrieb einer Ganztagsferienbetreuung

From the school year 2026/2027, there is an entitlement to up to 8 hours of support and care per day on weekdays during school and holiday periods, in accordance with Section 24(4) of the Social Code (SGB) VIII. This service will be introduced gradually, starting with the first school year, and will be extended to all four primary school years by 2029/2030.
