Description

The Saarland, represented by the Ministry for the Interior, Construction and Sport, represented by Department IV of the Saarland University Medical Centre, plans the new construction of an orthopaedic operating theatre on the premises of the Saarland University Medical Centre (UKS). The measure includes the creation of approximately 1,022 m2 of usable floor space for rooms such as operating theatres, induction, recovery and monitoring, anaesthesia, preparation zone, storage areas, offices and ancillary rooms. The space programme provides for a 2.5-storey building (UG, EG, OG). The DG will only be designed as a lift machine room, which, as a single room, has a much smaller area than the storey below it. The building will be constructed as a solid structure with reinforced concrete ceilings, reinforced concrete beams, walls made of reinforced concrete and reinforced concrete columns. Masonry will be planned for non-load-bearing partition walls in the basement. The basement of the orthopaedic operating theatre is planned in situ concrete as a waterproof construction (external components), with fresh concrete composite film in special construction. For the internal walls and the further storeys, reinforced concrete prefabricated components will be used, partly as exposed concrete surfaces with a protective layer, which meets the increased hygiene requirements of the sterile area. The roof area will be designed as a flat roof (inverted roof construction) as a retention area with extensive greening and a PV system. The building envelope will be insulated all around and equipped with a ventilated facade, with the exception of the points of direct connection to the existing building 38.1. Highly thermally insulated window and external door elements will be used. The facade is divided into ceramic, sheet metal and external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) facade.
