The contract essentially involves the planning and supervision of the construction of the following measure: On the site of the Klärwerk 1 in Nuremberg, the digesters 1-5, including the associated elevator tower and connecting bridges, are to be comprehensively renovated due to poor structural conditions. The measure includes, in addition to the restoration of the structure, a renewal of the process and procedural technology such as pipelines, machinery, and other digester installations. From a structural engineering perspective, extensive concrete repairs, sealing works, and in particular, the energy-efficient renovation (thermal insulation and facade design) are to be implemented. The aim is to restore the digesters so that future operation of the sludge digestion can be carried out in a modern, safe, and efficient manner. The operational serial, sectional implementation of the construction measure over five construction sections must be taken into account. Initially, a superordinate system plan must be developed for the totality. Based on this "renovation plan", the individual construction sections are worked on. The contract is awarded in stages. The cost estimate of the respective construction section is the basis for the fee. The measure does not include the comprehensive renewal of the pipeline installations in the lower installation corridor or sludge cellar.
