Germany – Quay wall construction work – Planung und Bauausführung als Integrierte Projektallianz - VE Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau

The planning area for the "Transformation Waltershofer Hafen" is located in the district of Hamburg-Mitte in the municipality of Steinwerder-Waltershof. The key project components include the construction of approximately 1,050 m of quay wall, the expansion of the Parkhafen turning circle from approximately 480 m to approximately 600 m in diameter, the land and water-side removal of approximately 3 million m³ of partially contaminated soil, and the backfilling of the Petroleumhafen with some of this soil. Additionally, the project includes the external relocation of excess materials, the preparation of approximately 38 ha of terminal area, the construction of two leading lights, and the relocation and establishment of two radar stations. To meet the technical challenges and high complexity of the "Transformation Waltershofer Hafen" project and to optimally utilise the expertise of all parties involved, the HPA plans to implement the project within the framework of an Integrated Project Alliance (IPA). A permit planning process serves as the basis for this. This provides orientation for the creation of the execution planning and its implementation by the alliance. The planning must be critically examined and, if necessary, optimised by the alliance with regard to the input criteria such as construction time, construction sequence concept, technical framework conditions, and other factors. The alliance will be formed from 3 alliance partners, including the client, with the following contracting units (VE) / partners: VE - Structural Engineering - TD-1603-26-VT-EU. VE - Earthwork and Dredging - TD-1604-26-VT-EU.
