Belgium – Washing and dry-cleaning services – Groepsaankoop raamovereenkomst voor wasserijdiensten

This group purchase concerns the conclusion of a framework agreement for laundry services with one contractor per lot: - for lot 1: washing and maintenance of self-purchased work clothing of employees and maintenance of household linen of local authorities; - for lot 2: care institutions/residential care centres: rental and maintenance of work clothing and flat linen and washing of residents' clothing; and this for the duration of 48 months, to the authorities spread over the operational area of IOK and that are members of the inter-municipal purchasing service of IOK (see annex C). By authorities are meant: police zones, emergency zones, OCMW, municipal and city councils and welfare associations. Both residential care centres/care institutions that belong to the OCMW of a connected local authority, as well as the residential care centres/care institutions that fall under the connected welfare associations, will be able to purchase from lot 2. This is a non-exclusive framework agreement without any purchase obligation. Consequently, notwithstanding the award and conclusion of the framework agreement by the contracting authority IOK on the basis of the present tender, the aforementioned authorities are free to purchase elsewhere during the duration of the contract or to place no order. The contractor cannot claim compensation for this.
