Germany – Load-bearing structure design services – Neubau Grundschule, Betreuungshaus und Mehrzweckhalle in Neuweiler

As part of the long-term development of the municipality's educational, childcare, and sports infrastructure, several coordinated construction measures are planned for the coming years. The background to this overall measure includes both legal requirements in the area of full-day care and structural, functional, and age-related deficiencies in existing buildings. To ensure a future-proof and economical offer, a total of three individual projects are to be implemented. The first focus is on the new construction of a care house with a canteen and full-day care. With the introduction of the legal entitlement to full-day care, there is an increased need for additional care, stay, and catering areas. Therefore, the construction of a modern building with a canteen, distribution kitchen, care rooms, sanitary facilities, and additional ancillary areas is planned. The aim is to sustainably expand the care capacities and to strengthen the school infrastructure. As a second measure, the demolition of the existing multi-purpose hall and the new construction of a modern 1.5-court sports hall are planned. The existing building shows considerable structural damage as well as technical and age-related defects. An economical renovation is only possible to a limited extent. The planned new building is intended to serve both school sports and use by local clubs and municipal events in the future. In addition, a contemporary building structure is to enable flexible multiple use. The third construction section comprises the new construction of the Grundschule Neuweiler. The existing school building will not meet the current requirements for modern learning environments, technical equipment, energy efficiency, and spatial structure in the long term. Therefore, a contemporary school building with classrooms, special rooms, administrative areas, stay zones, and outdoor facilities is planned. The aim is to create a sustainable and future-proof school site. The measures are coordinated in time, so that an orderly and economical implementation can take place. The start of the first measure is planned for 2027. The overall completion of all projects is planned for 2038. For Project 1 – Care House with Canteen and Full-Day Care, planning services for the building planning in phases 1 to 3 have already been provided by the architectural firm Großmann. In addition, an overall urban development concept in the form of a mass study for the planned overall measures was also created by the architectural firm Großmann. This includes the spatial development of the entire site as well as the conceptual coordination and temporal sequence of the three planned projects. The aim of the study is to ensure an orderly, economical, and functional implementation of the individual construction sections.
