The State of Hesse and the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen intend to construct a new institute building for the Department of Psychology. The building will house the only current German excellence cluster with a psychological focus, where research will be conducted using the most advanced methods in behavioral and neuroscience. The processing of the research program in interdisciplinary teams requires the expansion and spatial integration of researchers from various specializations in an integrative building, room, and large equipment concept. The building will be constructed at the northern boundary of the Campus for Humanities and Social Sciences, in the area of the Philosophikum I, in close proximity to the "International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture" (GCSC). Negotiated procedure pursuant to § 17 VgV for the award of engineering services: Detailed design of Technical Equipment Plant Groups 4-6 (Section 55 HOAI).
