The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) operates various handling and dredged material treatment facilities in Francop, Finkenwerder Vorhafen, Moorburg Mitte/Ost and Ellerholz, which are approved under the Federal Emission Control Act (BImSchG) for the landward reception of dredged material. A European negotiated procedure is to be used to award the control and monitoring services for the above-mentioned treatment facilities during a disposal operation and the handling operations to an external company. The AN's control tasks include the supervision and regulation of the slurry pipelines before and during a flushing operation, the detection of leaks and anomalies and their immediate reporting in the event of their occurrence. In addition, the AN is responsible for keeping a construction log with the recording of essential data such as start/end time, temperature, date, etc. The AN is responsible for the proper documentation of the entire measure.
