This partial assignment concerns the appointment of an executing architect for the restoration and renovation of the Bourlaschouwburg and the Schermenhuis, located at Komedieplaats 18 and Orgelstraat 7 in Antwerp. The core of the assignment for the executing architect is to convert the approved design into a technically robust and cost-conscious tendering and execution dossier, with a lasting respect for heritage, the design and the objectives of the project. Given the complexity, scale and heritage sensitivity of the project, strong emphasis is placed on technical expertise, budget management including design to budget, scheduling management and feasibility within market context. The executing architect is expected to technically develop, optimise and substantiate the dossier in an execution-oriented manner, and proactively provide solutions that enable realisation within the assigned budget and within a feasible schedule.
