Germany – Construction work for bridges and tunnels, shafts and subways – Weheüberleitungsstollen

The WAG Wassergewinnungs- und -aufbereitungsgesellschaft Nordeifel GmbH plans to ensure the drinking water supply of the Aachen/Düren metropolitan area, taking into account climate change and to improve flood protection for the locality of Zweifall and the cities of Stolberg and Eschweiler, a water transfer. This approximately 5 km long, straight water transfer tunnel is to run from the Hasselbach in Stolberg-Zweifall to the Wehebachtalsperre.
