As a result of By & Havn’s establishment of Lynetteholm, among other things, BIOFOS’ existing emergency overflows from the biological basins and the outlet tower at Lynetten Wastewater Treatment Plant are affected. The contractor must therefore carry out the rerouting of the emergency overflows from the existing biological basins and the outlet tower, so that they are routed outside the perimeter of Lynetteholm (hereafter “the Project”). The purpose of the Project is to ensure that the emergency overflow continues to function as a passive safety solution. Emergency overflows can occur today due to unforeseeable events, including power outages, gates that fail to open, and pipe breaks, etc. It is therefore crucial that the function of the emergency overflow is maintained.
