Germany – Engineering services – Umgestaltung Mühlentorplatz in Lübeck

The Hanseatic City of Lübeck intends to redesign the Mühlentorplatz. The Mühlentorplatz serves as one of the main junctions for traffic distribution near the old town. Approximately 25,000 vehicles and 8,000 cyclists use the roundabout daily. The junction (KP) is considered an accident blackspot. The construction measure aims to rebuild the junction to comply with traffic regulations. As part of a preliminary planning, various variants were examined and the redesign to a fully signalised junction was identified as the preferred solution. For the preferred solution, the planning phases (proportionally 1, 2), 3 to 5, optionally Lph. 6 to 9 incl. planning of the traffic light system (incl. LSA civil engineering) are to be implemented. Project-specific communication - both verbal and written - will exclusively be in German.
