Netherlands – Real-time passenger information system – Dynamisch Reizigers Informatie Systeem (DRIS)

The Municipality of Zaanstad wishes to renew the existing DRIS. Flagpole displays must be replaced with the possibility of reusing the existing flagpoles. Abridisplays that the Municipality wishes to replace with E-ink displays in a shelter sign that can be attached to a flagpole or on a (shelter) pole. At Zaandam station and the "De Vlinder" interchange, the DRIS will be renewed. The Municipality receives a subsidy for the renewal of displays from Vervoerregio Amsterdam, but must pay for the maintenance itself. The subsidy requires that the delivery is completed by 30 September 2027. Approximately 45 flagpole displays must be replaced, whereby existing flagpoles and foundations are reused. Approximately 90 abridisplays supplemented with 15 E-ink displays for Zaandam station and the De Vlinder interchange (total 105) must be replaced by E-ink displays in a shelter sign that is attached to a (to be supplied) flagpole. At Zaandam station and De Vlinder, the DRIS is renewed as part of improving the wayfinding (6 overview displays for Zaandam station and 1 overview display for De Vlinder).
